To God through His Creation

The path to monotheism necessarily entails crossing limits of the self; to move beyond the limited self. Sacred teachings assure the seeker that if one moves beyond self-­‐centered ambitions, even elevated ones, one need not worry! This could occur by immersion in God’s remembrance, so much so that in a sacred narration (hadith qudsi) God Almighty says, “Whoever is preoccupied with remembering Me [in place] of seeking [favors] from Me, I shall give him better than what I bestowed upon one who asked me!” This could also occur through compassion and love of other beings, which this writing focuses on.
